Built around two of the Alentejo’s most distinctive materials, cork and clay, the day is designed to be genuinely hands-on. Discover the stories and traditional knowledge behind each craft, then work directly with the materials and create something of your own.

Rather than watching demonstrations created for tourists, you will experience local craftsmanship where it is genuinely practised, alongside people connected to these traditions.

The afternoon includes an immersive three-hour pottery workshop at a specialised ceramics and earth arts centre with almost three decades of work dedicated to clay, traditional materials, artistic research and ceramic practice.
