Begin at Setúbal’s Livramento Market, often ranked among the best fresh markets in the world, filled with colorful tiles, seafood and regional produce. Continue through the Arrábida Natural Park, a landscape of green hills and turquoise sea, before arriving in Azeitão for a hands-on cheese-making workshop with local artisans.
Travel to the coastal village of Sesimbra, framed by cliffs and a medieval castle, to enjoy its fishing-village charm and ocean views. For pick ups from Tróia and Comporta there’s an extra charge of €30 per person for the private pick up and drop off or you can take the ferry to Setúbal and have an included pick up.

With its colorful array of fresh fish, fruits, vegetables, seafood, and local delicacies, the market is a paradise for food enthusiasts and a feast for the senses. Visitors can immerse themselves in the lively atmosphere, interact with friendly vendors, and sample the flavors of the region, making it a must-visit destination for culinary exploration. Closed on Mondays. Includes travel time from Lisbon to Setúbal.

4Quinta Velha
This private workshop delves into a collective story, aiming to revive the tradition of knowledge transmission once held by elders like Ti Alfredo, the esteemed figure in Azeitão cheese making. It blends hands-on experience with an understanding of the natural relationship and interdependence between humans and the environment, passed down through centuries of tradition. Upon arrival at the cheese dairy, participants encounter freshly curdled milk while being guided through the process and the significance of using thistle rennet—a plant-based coagulant—gaining insight into the entire Azeitão cheese-making process.
