Step into a true Canadian winter adventure with our 2-day, 1-night introduction to winter camping in the heart of the Davidson Forest, in the beautiful Pontiac. This all-inclusive experience is designed for beginners and nature lovers who want to discover the magic of winter camping—without sacrificing comfort.
You’ll spend the night in cozy prospector tents, each heated with a wood stove that doubles as your kitchen. Your local guide will prepare delicious 5-star homemade meals on the wood stove, including a full dinner and breakfast the next morning. The tents are located next to Lake Canoe in a privately owned nature reserve. Enjoy the tranquility and beauty of Quebec's nature in winter with this all-inclusive experience.

A pickup time (typically within a 10-minute time frame 45 minutes before the tour begins) will be sent to you by email prior to your tour with all added information such as useful tips, recommended list of things to bring, and what to expect.
We will head to Fort Coulonge where guests will be able to enjoy a lunch at the Café Downtown before heading out to the Davidson Forest for our 2 hour hike to our prospector tent. This is where we will spend the night. Here's a detailed schedule of the first day: -Starting at 10:00 a.m. – Pickup in Ottawa & Gatineau -12:00 p.m. – Lunch stop at Café Downtown in Fort Coulonge (included) -1:00 p.m. – Begin 2-hour hike to Lake Canoe (1.5 km trek with gear provided) -3:30 p.m. – Arrival at camp, light snack & hot drink -4:00 p.m. – Survival workshops led by your guide -6:00 p.m. – Hearty dinner cooked on the wood stove -7:30 p.m. – Campfire with bannock s’mores, hot chocolate & Baileys -10:00 p.m. – Lights out in cozy heated tents *Food options may vary according to the group and dates.
After an overnight stay in the Davidson Forest, we will pack up our gear, enjoy a breakfast in the tent, and hike back to the vehicle to make our way back towards Ottawa and Gatineau. Here's a detailes itinerary for Day 2 of the trip: -7:30–8:30 a.m. – Breakfast & fresh coffee -9:00 a.m. – Departure hike back through the forest -1:00 p.m. – Arrival back in Ottawa & Gatineau *Food options may vary according to the group and dates
