  Built in 1410, this celebrated shrine features history exhibits & a museum with royal portraits. After establishing the Joseon Dynasty in 1392, King Taejo ordered Gyeonggijeon (Historic Site No. 339 on the national list) constructed in his ancestral seat to enshrine his portrait during the commemoration of the new dynastic foundation.

  The Jeondong Cathedral also known as the Old Cathedral of Jeondong and now as the Jeondong Church of Francis Xavier is an important Catholic church in Jeonju, South Korea. The cathedral building, of Roman-Byzantine style, was built between 1908 and 1914 by Victor Louis Poisnel.
