The Imperial City of Hue was actually a walled fortress and palace belonged to the ancient city of Hue which was a capital city of the Nguyen Dynasty for 140 years date back from 1805 until 1945.
Thien Mu Pagoda, also called Linh Mu Pagoda, is a Buddhist temple located on the banks of the Fragrant River on Ha Khe Hill, 5 km west of the center of Hue in Vietnam. The pagoda has seven tiers and is the tallest in Vietnam. The temple is repeatedly sung in the epic and is an unofficial symbol of the former capital of Vietnam.
Situated on the shore of a lake is a tranquil temple complex with an ornate 19th-century emperor's tomb. King Minh Mang, the second ruler of the Nguyen Dynasty, governed southern and central Vietnam from 1820 to 1840. From the capital at Hué, he implemented an extensive building program, which included construction of his own funeral complex in the southwest corner of the city.
The Tomb of Khải Định, officially Ứng Mausoleum is a tomb built for Khải Định, the twelfth Emperor of the Nguyễn dynasty of Vietnam. It features a blend of Vietnamese architecture with Western styles. The tomb was completed in 1931 after 11 years of construction.
