We will be making our way towards the windward side of the island. This side of the island is the most developed side of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, where the majority of the hotel, bars and white sand beaches are.
Our 1st stop would be at Arnos Vale where you will get to see the E.T Joshua airport (our old airport) and The Arnos Vale playing field (our stadium) where all the cricket matches are played – West Indies vs The rest of the world. Carrying on our journey, our next quick photo stop will be at villa where you will get the see the beautiful Young Island. Young Island is where Johnny Depp and some of his cast mates stayed while they were filming the movie, The Pirates of the Caribbean.

This tunnel is about 300 feet long and links Grand Sable with Byrea Bay.The tunnel was constructed by the British with the help of Slave labour in about 1815 to provide an access route for sugar exports.The estates north of Byrea were distributed to British settlers after the end of the Second Carib War in 1796 for the cultivation of sugar cane.The tunnel was a masterpiece of engineering skill for its time.

It is the largest city in Charlotte Parish with a populace numbering about 1,700. The Rabacca Dry River is a river of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. It is a seasonal river and will only flow like a normal river when there is heavy rainfall. It is located on the outskirts of Georgetown. It was formed as a result of the eruption of the La Soufriere volcano, there is its source.
The community of Sandy Bay may be viewed as one of the largest indigenous communities in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. It's location is central among the indigenous communities north of the Rabacca River, approx. 1 1/5 hr's drive away from capital Kingstown. Sandy Bay is also home to the sole Garifuna radio station, Garifuna bakery, Secondary school, and resource centre north of the Rabacca River.
The Owia Salt Pond is located on the Northeastern coast of St. Vincent close to the Carib village of Owia, a two-hour drive along the scenic eastern coast of St. Vincent. Along the way you can see the Rabacca Dry River, (ash flow from the 1902 eruption of the La Soufrière Volcano), Black Point Tunnel dug by the British in 1815 using slave labour and same of the best black sand beaches in the World.
