  Floyd's Pelican Bar

  Floyd’s Pelican Bar is a legendary little wooden bar perched on stilts in the middle of the sea off the south coast of Jamaica, near Parottee Bay in St. Elizabeth. It’s about a 20-minute boat ride from shore, which is half the fun. The bar is super rustic—built from driftwood, old pallets, and scrap materials—and feels like something straight out of a castaway dream. No roads, no Wi-Fi, no rush. Just turquoise water, pelicans gliding overhead, reggae vibes, and ice-cold Red Stripe beers. Floyd (the original owner) named it after the pelicans that used to gather on the sandbar.
