MAIPO CANYON - MAIPO VALLEY, 1 winery
Maipo Canyon is located 50 km (31ml) away from the Santiago. For Sure you'll have an unforgettable adventure experience surrounding with a spectacular and scenic view.
We're going to learn the traditions and the local culture in the little town San Jose de Maipo and surround towns settled in this unique ecosystem.
Maipo Valley is located 60 minutes away of South east of Santiago.
Following the current of Maipo River and joining with the Metropolitan Region we find one of the most traditional wine zone of the country and where it was founded the first vineyards.
It was in this Maipo valley, where it was discovered at beginning of the 1990’s, the famous grape, “CARMENERE”, that, actually, it is cultivated only in Chile in an industrial way. Many enologists believed it extinguished since the years 1800’s.

This little and charming mountain town represent the colony of Spaniord by ending of 1700's we will just walk around by a few minutes to see the daily and calm life of local people in the way to upper Maipo Canyon.

For those people who really want to enjoy a local hot chocolate or local gelato ice cream we could stop in this charming little Casa Chocolate where it was designed as Fairy tale house reminding to Hansel & Gretel house.

3Monumento Natural El Morado
by the upper Maipo Canyon we will be enjoying an expectacular sightseeing drive watching, enjoying the magnificent view of the Andes Mountain range... Where we will appreciate, from the distance, Volcano San Jose de Maipo, National Park El Morado, waterfall bridal veil , and if you are lucky we could also watching the beutiful flight of a Andes Condor Birds.
