Prepare yourself for an action-packed, half-day, white-water rafting adventure on the Barron River! Navigate thrilling Grade 2 and 3 rapids for up to 2-hours, as you surge through the heart of Barron Gorge National Park. Feel the rush as you tackle the rapids, then soak in the stunning scenery while floating past rugged cliffs, dramatic ravines, and lush rainforest.
You have the option to include a pickup from Cairns or Port Douglas (If option is selected), or self-drive to the meeting point (If option is selected).

Meeting and pickup
We pick up from limited hotels and accommodations in Cairns, Northern Beaches and Port Douglas (If option is selected). A self-drive option is also available (If option is selected).
Self-drive (If option is selected) to 101 Lake Placid Road at 15:00pm - Please wait in your car in the carpark, do not go into Lake Placid Caravan Park as this is private property.
What to expect
Spend up to 2-hours, navigating a series of grade 2–3 rapids as you paddle through lush rainforest scenery and dramatic granite boulders. With professional river guides leading the way, you’ll learn the ropes quickly and enjoy a safe, adrenaline-filled ride.
Whether you're traveling solo, with friends, or as a family, it’s a fantastic way to experience the beauty of Tropical North Queensland.
No prior experience needed—just a sense of adventure! This tour is suitable for ages 12 and up, and includes all safety gear, instruction, and training. Return transfers from Cairns or Port Douglas (If option is selected), or self-drive to a meeting point (If option is selected).
Please note: Rafting Levy ($35pp from 01 April 2026) - AUD 30.00 per person payable on the day of travel.
