Meet-up at public kayak launch in the middle of Big hickory Island. Enter "26.366976, -81.856623" in your phone map app to drop a pin and get directions. Look for the ADVENTURES KAYAKING trailer & trucks flying the AMERICAN FLAG. Free Parking. Gratuities appreciated by your hard-working guides.

What to expect

Paddle the beautiful Big Hickory Island and Estero Bay estuary, where we routinely encounter beautiful shorebirds, dolphins, and even manatee (March-October). You can explore the web of mangrove tunnels as well as the open channels around the island. The west side of the island is a beautiful beach that is much less visited than most since there is no road or pedestrian access. This beach is blessed with currents that wash up an unbelievable bounty of sea shells... you will be amazed! Bookings are for a 2-hour rental... you can stay out longer for a small additional hourly rate.

  • Service animals allowed
  • Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health
  • Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
  • Customers routinely use Uber or such to mange their transportation. Must be 3 years or older.
