It is one of the most beautiful works of Gothic and Manueline architecture. A national monument, it has been considered a World Heritage Site by UNESCO since 1983. This architectural jewel resulted from a promise made by King João I in gratitude for the victory in Aljubarrota, a battle fought on August 14, 1385, which guaranteed the throne and independence of Portugal.

    Nazare

Located on the central coast of Portugal, land of legends and traditions, of sea and fishing, of simple hospitable people, Nazaré maintains the authenticity that inspired artists and writers. The fishing village has beaches that offer surf lovers the ideal conditions and spots to practice this sport. In 2011, the world record for the biggest wave surfed was broken - a wave of about 30mts, in 'Canhão da Nazaré', by Garrett McNamara. Time for lunch about 2 hours, in one of the many local restaurants, to taste the Portuguese gastronomy with emphasis on fish and seafood. Lunch not included in the price
