1 Yonathan Hah'ashmonai Street
Go to the end of Yonathan Hah'ashmonaï street until the entrance gate of the Old City "Shaar Hassoussim". Just before, there is free parking in the moat. On the other side of the road, panoramic view of the port and the maritime walls. I will be where there are tables and benches.
From the ancient port of its peninsula, the Bay of St Jean d'Acre alias Akko in the Mediterranean is offered to us by a superb panoramic view where ramparts, minarets, church steeples and synagogue, tell us that here cultures and religions have always lived on good terms. Classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site more than twice, Akko is one of the oldest cities in the world and by strolling through its narrow streets dating from the Ottoman era, we will see how well it deserves its prestigious title. Beneath our feet, the Crusader city then unfolds with its sumptuous Halls of the Knights of the imposing Citadel of the Hospitallers. From there, via the Bazaar and the old Turkish Hammam, we stroll through the colorful Marco Polo Market to see savor local delicacies and specialties on the way, from felafel to hummus, from baklawa to sah'lab in the maze of a thousand and one flavors of oriental spices leading us straight to the Tunnel des Templiers to finish.
