  National Museum of Gitega

  Soon after the Karera Waterfalls experience, We head to Gitega the newly Burundi Capital city for sightseeing and for Lunch at a local Restaurant to taste the best Burundian cuisine and visit the National Museum of Gitega. The National Museum of Gitega was founded under Belgian colonial rule in 1955. The museum is the largest of Burundi's public museums although its collection is displayed in a single room. In 2014 it averaged 20–50 visitors per week and this number has grown quite rapidly ever since.
