This is a very unique activity where you can actually learn how to make bamboo crafts. You can design and make your own bamboo craft such as LED lantern, smartphone holder, flower base, sake bottle, sake cup, tea cup…at your own ideas! No worries if you have no experience, we will instruct you in detail how to cut and use tools to make bamboo crafts. The workshop locates in a bamboo craftsman’s house with all the equipments needed.
What's Included
Meeting and pickup
The guide will meet you on the 2nd level of JR Saga Arashiyama station in front of the ticket gate at 14:00. After meeting at the meeting point, the guide will take you for 30 min walking tour through the bamboo forest to the workshop.
What to expect
We will take you for a walk in bamboo forest in Arashiyama and explain all about mysterious plant bamboo. Then we will take you to the workshop and show you how to cut and make your own bamboo lantern.
