Genoa had the second largest city wall in the world, after the Chinese one, but no one knows, not even the Genoese people. Twenty kilometers of walls around which various fortifications have been built. Getting to know these forts is not easy, they are not very promoted and it is not easy to find someone to take you there.
In this wonderful trek of about 15 km, the tourist will have the opportunity, accompanied by a professional guide, to delve into the history of Genoa and to discover these fortifications that still stand on the hills of the city.
The meeting point is in front of the Zecca-Righi funicular stop, located in Largo della Zecca, in front of via Carioli, on the opposite side.
We will skirt this incredible fortification which was erected about two hundred years ago
We will see the fort from afar in all its might at the begginning of the tour, and then skirt it at the end.
We will reach the top of Mont Diamond, on which stands the Fort of the same name, which we will be able to admire up close.
Coming down from Fort Diamond, we will also reach Forte Puin, also very fascinating
