What to expect
Upon the conquest of Istanbul in 1453, Sultan Mehmet the Conqueror built nineteen marvelous hamams in the city of Istanbul. These traditional Turkish baths combine the best features of both its predecessor. They include baths used in the Roman thermae, and the treatment of steam bathing typical for the Central Asian Turkic tradition.
