Meeting and pickup
We will collect you from the Reception area at the accommodation. We will message you the night before your tour to confirm the collection time (based on other collections that morning).
We are based near the reception of Tahuna Beach Holiday Park - continue to the end of Beach Road and you will see our cabin in the Conference Centre carpark. There is plenty of free, off-street parking at the base.

From here, a breathtaking 50km off-road trail awaits, with plenty of exhilarating downhill stretches leading back to Nelson. Following the historic railway route, you’ll find informative panels along the way, detailing the fascinating rise and fall of this once-vital transport link.
The landscape is wonderfully diverse, taking you past verdant hop plantations, native forests, boutique wineries, and fertile market gardens. The Waimea Plains are a patchwork of thriving crops and stunning natural beauty, offering plenty of picture-perfect moments
A highlight of the journey is the ride through Spooner’s Tunnel—at 1.4 km, it’s the longest cycle tunnel in the southern hemisphere!
