We will begin the Borgia route in Plaza Manises in front of the palace of the Generalitat Valenciana making an introduction about the two popes of this Valencian family: Calixto III and Alexander VI.
We will stop in front of the original façade of this church to explain details of the life and that of Alfonso de Borgia, who was Pope under the name Calixto III
We will visit the entire interior of Valencia Cathedral, describing the works linked to the Borgias and the famous Holy Chalice. In the Museum we will see the grandiose processional monstrance.
Inside the Basilica is the patron saint of Valencia: the Virgen de los Desamparados and its impressive baroque frescoes by the painter Antonio Palomino from the early 18th century.
We will finish in the Plaza de San Lorenzo where the Borgia Palace is located and the current headquarters of the Valencian Cortes. There we will explain the final outcome of the family.
