We provide hotel or Airbnb pick-up in an air-conditioned vehicle and a bilingual host who accompanies you throughout the activity. The workshop takes place in San Martín Tilcajete, a town known for its master artisans and high-quality Alebrijes.
You will learn about the carving and painting process directly from a local artisan, and then paint your own wooden figure using the provided materials. No experience is required. The experience is operated in small groups to ensure clear guidance and a relaxed environment.
This is a great, no-pressure visit with enough time to paint, ask questions, and enjoy the workshop. The return trip is included, and you will finish with a handmade piece that is easy to transport and a meaningful souvenir from Oaxaca.
