The first stop on the tour, guests will have the opportunity to take in the first views of the Columbia River Gorge looking east.
A short walk allows you to feel the mist of the only plunge style waterfall in the Columbia River Gorge.
A quick stop and short walk takes you down into a moss-laden and fern-filled ravine to view Shepherd’s Dell Falls. While taking in the view of the waterfall, be sure to turn around and admire the historic bridge built in 1914 (the second bridge ever to be built on the historic highway!).
Guests will have time on their own to explore the lower falls viewing area, check out the visitor center, or walk up to Benson Bridge depending on their priorities.
The final stop in your journey will bring you over 700 feet above the Columbia River to one of the most recognizable viewpoints in the entire region. From Crown Point, revel in panoramic views of the steep, rugged Cascade Mountains and the expansive Columbia River. On weekends and weather permitting, guests have the opportunity to visit the historic Vista House, a 1918 observatory turned memorial and museum for visitors of the Columbia River Gorge.
