Tradition Venturing into the Esteros del Iberá is diving into a profound horizon, wheregrasslands and reeds create a landscape that seems to stretch to infinity. This unique journey, which takes place at Portal Carambola in Concepción, Corrientes, guides us through one of the richest and most diverse ecosystems in the world,where nature is displayed in its fullest expression. For 3 nights and 4 days, the Iberá journey invites us to explore these lands on horseback, crossing marshy areas and navigating lagoons and estuaries by canoe, following routes traversed bygenerations. This trip is a deep immersion into Guarani culture and tradition, where every stepaims to preserve customs and respect ancestral practices. The authenticity of this experience lies in its connection with the environment and history, allowing us to understand and appreciate the wisdom of those who have lived in harmony withnature for centuries. But the Esteros del Iberá are not just a destination of unparalleled natural beauty; they are also an example of conservation and sustainability. This journey is part of the conceptual path of the Rewilding Foundation, a collaboration aimed at protecting and preserving the natural wealth of one of the largest aquifers and reserves of fauna and flora in the world. The Iberá journey is not a conventional tourist route; it is an opportunity to connect with the most authentic aspects of the Corrientes landscape. You must arrive in Concepcion 1 day before the ride. To get there, you have 3 options: You can travel by car to Concepcion, a city located 946 km from Federal Capital. Collective preferably until Sta Rosa, or second choice until Saladas. And from there organize with us to look for them.
At noon, we will have a picnic at Portal Carambola. At 3 PM, we will head to the"lechuza Cúa" Refuge, approximately 2 hours on horseback. There, we will spend the firstnight and enjoy a delicious barbecue.
We start the day with breakfast, then ride for another 2 hours on horseback to where the canoes are waiting. We will then get back on horseback for 2 hours before returning to the canoes. We will arrive at the "Laguna Grande" Refuge, where we will spend our second night
After breakfast, we will ride for 4 hours to the "El Solitario" Refuge, where we willhave lunch and spend the third night.
On the final day of the journey, we will head for 3 hours to the canoes, where we willembark and then ride again, ultimately arriving back at Portal Carambola, where the journey began.
