2 minutes walk from the Duomo square
Tirano is the lowest point of the Bernina train line - 429 meters. Our first stop is a charming Italian village in the Alps, a few kilometers away from the Swiss border. Tirano offers many options for a delicious lunch made out of fresh ingredients. Along our way to Tirano, our knowledgeable guide will share with you many tips about the life of the small rural population, alpine life and traditions and the local history of one of the biggest alpine valleys. See the incredible vineyards on the mountain slopes and taste a special local wine of the Alps.
Only a 25 km train ride brings travelers from the orchards and palm trees in Tirano to the glaciers of the Bernina Pass at 2,253 meters. The valley is surrounded by 3,000-meter-high peaks on both sides, the highest of which, the Piz Palü, reaches 3,900 meters. Three climate and vegetation zones are represented here, from extreme cold and snowy to Mediterranean, which provide a wide range of agricultural products. From the top of the Bernina train line, the view over Poschiavo Valley is unbelievable.
In this point you will be overwhelmed by the beauty of the Swiss Alps. Ospizio Bernina is situated at the highest point of Bernina line - 2253 meters. At Ospizio Bernina some of the highest peaks and permanent glaciers of the eastern Alps are visible.
Enjoy the coach ride through one of the highest inhabited valleys of the Alps - Engadin. It's a true paradise for winter sports enthusiasts, and adventure-seekers, a valley of pristine nature with a blue lake and fresh alpine air.
Explore St. Moritz - a destination that attracts visitors year-round — and not just because it averages 300 days of sunshine annually. The resort town is renowned as one of the first winter tourism destinations, and It twice hosted the Winter Olympic games. The St. Moritz name and logo are the oldest tourism logos still used today and are listed as registered trademarks. In winter, the frozen Lake St. Moritz is an arena for horse racing, ice skating, snow polo, and skijoring. In the summer, rowers, sailors, and fishermen take over.
We’ll pause for a breathtaking panoramic stop at the Maloja Pass, where you can soak in sweeping Alpine views and breathe the crisp mountain air before crossing back into Italy.
On the way to and from the Bernina Line, you’ll enjoy stunning views of Lake Como. In some cases, an upgrade stop by the lake for a scenic walk or dinner may be available, subject to confirmation with the tour company before your trip
