What to expect

Viscri (Deustchweisskirch) became known throughout Europe after Prince Charles bought a house here in 1996 and spoke in many interviews about the beauty of the Transylvanian village. The "royal" house in Viscri is rented over the year to tourists, who have to fork out 800 Euro a week. Charles's village, as Viscri is now known, is visited annually by over 15,000 tourists, mostly foreigners. Viscri has was placed on the world map of traditional villages in the world, being in the UNESCO heritage.A circuit that includes a large part of the Viscri area starts right from the village, passes through Bunesti, Crit, Mesendorf and reaches back to Viscri - that is, through the villages that make up the Haferland, already recognized thanks to the festival of the same name held annually, at the beginning of the last summer months.
