“Experience Traditional Balinese Life”
The Pakerisan River Valley to the north east of Ubud was listed as a Cultural Heritage Area by UNESCO in 2012. This mystical river valley contains ancient ancestral sites dating back to 8th - 12th centuries. Ancient animist beliefs and influences of Hinduism and Buddhism spread from India to Bali via Javanese kingdoms.

The journey start’s at the compound of Penempahan village leader to enjoy welcome drink and sharing about Bali history, village, Balinese compound and culture activities from old village leader inscription and see Balinese script “Lontar” and Mask “Topeng”.
Continue on a soft trek through the village Temple and into a bamboo forest and rice fields. (approx. 1.5 hours)
Learn about village life and the Balinese relationship to nature
visit bone carving artist (animal bone – usually the head of buffalo).
Enjoy a lovely lunch with your hosts.
