Australia’s Everglades are found in the Northern end of the Noosa River system, perched within the sand dunes of the Cooloola National Park. An untouched, pristine wilderness area which is home to over 44% of Australia’s bird species.
Pure fresh water pulses out of the Cooloola Sandmass and filters through the tea tree infused ecosystem into this unique river system – creating the most spectacular reflections you will ever see….

****PLEASE NOTE PICKUPS COMMENCE FROM 7.40AM FROM NOOSA******* We provide pickup locations within the Noosa Area. Guests must be ready and waiting 5 minutes prior to their scheduled bus pickup time. Seats are limited so if you wish to be collected by shuttle bus, but unsure of the closest pickup point to your accommodation please select stop 0. Please call reception on 07 5485 3348 at least 48 hrs prior to your tour date, who will adjust your selection accrodingly and confirm you pickup time/location.

What to expect
Stopping at Fig Tree point you have the option to participate in a 600m rainforest walk or board your Canadian style canoe for a leisurely paddle upstream through ancient landscapes, mirrored waterways know as "The River of Mirrors".
Guides provide expert commentary on the flora & fauna and rich history of the area. Witness sub-tropical rainforest thousands of years old and the surrounding serenity of the Cooloola National Park. A light refreshment is served during the tour.
The Everglades, recognised as one of the most spectacular waterways in Australia is home to variety of diverse animal species.
Upon returning to Habitat Noosa you have spare time with the option of tasting a craft beer at the Micro-brewery, trying a dish from the onsite bistro (own cost) or explore the Lake and surrounding bushland of the EcoCamp.

- Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
- Please bring swimwear, towel (should you wish to swim), sunglasses, water bottle, hat and sunscreen
- No previous experience is necessary
- All canoe participants must be seven years or older and have the ability to swim.
