It is a private residence, created in 1970 by Mr. Nabij Khoury, a Lebanese merchant and industrialist based in Barahona, Dominican Republic. The name of Villa Miriam was given in honor of his wife Miriam; Dominican whom I love and with whom I have been married for 58 years. Villa Miriam was his creation, his rest home for 30 years and he said: “Villa Miriam is a paradisiacal place where I am transported to my childhood years in my native Lebanon.” So you will know this charming house where we can find a series of pools fed by the San Rafael River that run along the property, sprouting from the lush hills of the area.
