Continuing our tour, we will walk through the oldest street in America, which owes its name to the noble ladies who used to walk along it in colonial times. Here we can admire the colonial houses, their balconies and their interior patios.
We will visit the impressive palace built in colonial times and which was the residence of Diego Colón, son of Christopher Columbus, and his wife María de Toledo. We will be able to see the rooms, the central patio and the exhibitions of art and historical objects dating from the 16th century.
This building was the seat of the colonial government during the Spanish era. Here we can see art exhibitions and historical objects dating from pre-Hispanic times to contemporary times, as well as learn more about the history and culture of the Dominican Republic.
We will end our tour in El Conde pedestrian street, one of the most important and busiest in the city, where we can shop and enjoy the daily life of Santo Domingo.
