What to expect

Travelers take part in a guided marine walk along the Haji Ali coastline during low tide. The experience begins with a short safety briefing and an introduction to tides and intertidal habitats. Participants then explore different coastal zones, starting with sandy and muddy areas where they observe shells, molluscs, crabs, and other small marine organisms.

The walk continues across rocky intertidal zones, where tide pools and oyster reefs support a variety of marine life such as sea anemones, small fish, and algae. Led by an experienced naturalist, travelers learn how these organisms survive changing water levels, wave action, and exposure to heat. The guide also explains the ecological role of oyster reefs and the impact of human activity on coastal ecosystems. The experience focuses on observation, learning, and responsible exploration, concluding with an overview of marine conservation along Mumbai’s coast.
