What's Included
Meeting and pickup
The meeting point is the Mountain House, the official building where hikers go through in order to check in and enter the Natural Reserve. The group will be gathered for a briefing and each participant will receive hiking poles + headlight. There is a big car parking lot. Toilets are available.
What to expect
Your hike begins in the early hours before dawn, under a clear, starry sky. With your headlamp lighting the path, you'll make your way up the volcanic slopes in the quiet stillness of the night.
Reaching the summit just before sunrise, you'll have the chance to watch the sun slowly rise above the horizon, bringing the landscape to life. From this high point in the middle of the Atlantic, you'll take in the morning light spreading across the surrounding islands and ocean—a peaceful and rewarding moment after the climb.
Throughout the hike, your experienced guides will ensure a safe and enjoyable journey while sharing insights about Pico’s volcanic landscape and natural environment.
