Corner of Elizebath street and Davey street in front of the Tamanian Travel and Information Centre
Passing through Hobart and South Hobart we point out historic buildings and share interesting history and stories.
We then ascend through increasingly good views of Hobart to the summit of Mount Wellington. We see colorful snow gums and subalpine vegetation and wildflowers.
Up here the views only get better, now including some of the mountains of the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area. We get to take a short walk to the trig point achieving our arrival at the highest point and pausing to take in the breathtaking vista. David will remember the first time he walked from the city all the way up here when he was 18 years old, it took him 5 hours. • Then we get free time to check out and photograph from the Hobart and south West Wilderness viewing platforms. Up close we observe unique Tasmanian alpine vegetation and pillars of rock. At the summit, you will be filled with astonishment, to be launched forth into an ocean of natural goodness where you can see no limits.
