We meet at the bronze model of the city of Split on the Riva. Directly opposite the south gate and the parking lot.
Diocletian's Palace: Discover the rich and tumultuous history of Diocletian's Palace, dating back more than 1700 years. In contrast to a dusty museum, the palace is still alive with locals living and working within its walls. A variety of restaurants, specialty shops, and artisanal workshops are located inside the palace.
Green Market: Join us as we stroll through the bustling market and indulge in local delicacies, including dalmatian prosciutto, local cheese and rakija. These are just a few of the many specialties that define the city's unique cuisine. Immerse yourself in the vibrant energy of the market and discover the flavors and aromas that make Split's food scene truly unforgettable.
Sweet Stop: Our tailor-made food tour is designed for gourmets, cheese lovers, and sweet toothers. To satisfy your sweet cravings, we will stop at a local establishment that specializes in traditional sweets. Indulge in a variety of delights unique to the region and sure to tantalize your taste buds.
Food stop: As we depart the palace, our journey through the medieval streets of Split unfolds. Amidst this historic setting, treat yourself to a typical Balkan culinary delight: burek. Choose from different flavours ranging from classic meat to tantalizing cheese, spinach, or potato fillings.
Food stop: As we explore the ancient streets of Split, your guide will offer numerous restaurant suggestions. At one of our stops, you'll have the opportunity to sample Ćevapčići, a regional specialty. Derived from the Turkish kebap, Ćevapčići, the diminutive form of Ćevapi, carries a rich history. Originating during Ottoman rule in the Balkans, this dish was adopted by hajduks (rebels) from the occupying forces, likely with its roots tracing back to Persia.
Wine & Food Tasting: For the tasting we will escape the hustle and bustle of tourist crowds and retreat to a restaurant. Here, you can enjoy an exclusive tasting experience of first-class local wines and delicacies. Savor two different high-quality wines, each expertly paired with Dalmatian specialties such as risotto, mussels, hobotnica salad, and other delectable treats. For our young guests there will be tasty non-alcoholic drinks to try instead of wine.
