What to expect

You’ll start this full-day tour in the heart of nature at one of Guanacaste’s spectacular natural wonders, the Llanos de Cortés Waterfall. You can take your time exploring the tropical rainforest surroundings, as there’s over half an hour here to take pictures and admire Mother Nature’s handy work.
After a scenic drive to the Bijagua region, you’ll spend an hour hiking the nature trails at a sloth sanctuary. Your expert guide will help you spot colourful birds and native wildlife, as well as the nation’s favourite animal, resting in the canopy of the trees above.
Take a break for lunch and tuck into some traditional Costa Rican cuisine in a relaxed and welcoming setting. But save a little space to taste one of the country’s most prized products – chocolate. Cacao has been grown in Costa Rica for over 3,000 years, and you’ll learn all about the heritage and culture associated with the food of the Gods. In your chocolate experience you’ll see demonstrations of the journey from bean to bar, with plenty of tastings along the way. It’s a sweet way to round off your authentic adventure into Costa Rica’s forests.
