The cooking studio is located near Asakusa Station. Look for the sign “Sushi Making Tokyo No1 Cooking Class” at the entrance. Asakusa Station (Ginza Line, Asakusa Line, Tobu Skytree Line, Tsukuba Express): Exit from Exit 4. Walk about 2 minutes toward Kaminarimon Gate (the big red lantern).

What to expect

During this hands-on class, you’ll step into a traditional Tokyo kitchen and learn the secrets of Japanese sushi-making from a professional instructor. First, you’ll prepare perfectly seasoned sushi rice and discover how to handle fresh, high-quality ingredients. Then, your teacher will guide you through slicing fish, rolling sushi, and shaping nigiri step by step.

You’ll create different styles of sushi, including maki rolls and nigiri, before sitting down to enjoy your delicious handmade meal paired with miso soup and green tea. Along the way, you’ll hear cultural stories and insider tips about Japanese food traditions, making this more than just a cooking class—it’s a cultural experience to remember.
