Aruba's Natural Bridge collapsed on September 2, 2005. The old stone California lighthouse stands as a silent watchman in the area known as "Hudishibana," near the island's northwestern tip. It beckons visitors to the most spectacular views of the island. The lighthouse was named after the S.S. California - which sunk previous to its construction in 1910. Perched on a high seaside elevation, the lighthouse has become one of Aruba's scenic trademarks and offers a picture perfect view of the island's western coastline of beaches and coral shorelines.
In Arikok National Park, you will see Aruba's rugged desert-like landscapes, diverse wildlife like wild goats and burrowing owls, and unique geological formations such as limestone caves and volcanic hills. Key attractions include the natural pool Conchi, the Quadirikiri Caves with their skylights, the ancient paintings at Fontein Cave, and beaches like Dos Playa, known for turtle nesting.
In the center of the island, you will find the Casibari Rock formations. A path leads you to the top of these giant boulders from which you have a beautiful view of Aruba's landscape. On a clear day the entire island and possibly even Venezuela can be seen from the highest point. After your adventure enjoy a cold drink and a bite to eat at the Casibari Cafe!
Wariruri Beach offers great possibilities to make some beautiful pictures of the surfers and the surroundings in general. Wariruri Beach is a very secluded beach, just one of those places worth visiting on the east coast of Aruba to take a break from crowded places on the island.
Baby Beach in Aruba is a shallow, calm, half-moon lagoon at the island's southern tip, ideal for families with small children and snorkelers due to its gentle waters and clear visibility for marine life. You'll find amenities like cabanas, beach chair rentals, and food establishments, but be aware of potential strong currents at the bay's opening and the nearby view of an abandoned oil refinery.
A very short distance from the Bushiribana ruins lays a hidden secret that has recently been discovered. We are talking about a cave pool. If you are feeling adventurous you can climb down a ladder to swim in this pool. The only catch is that swimming shoes are required if you would like to do this.
