    Yungang Grottoes

    Meet up your friendly private driver in the morning, and depart from your Xi'an hotel to Xi'an North Train Station in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle to start your 2-day comprehensive tour. Upon arrival Taiyuang Station, your guide will pick you up and head to Datong (3.5 hours). On the way,you will have your lunch. Then, visit the Yungang Grottoes, which are ancient Buddhist temple grottoes. They are excellent examples of rock-cut architecture and one of the three most famous ancient sculptural sites of China. Then, have a tasty local dinner. Overnight stay at local B&B or Hotel.

    Hengshan Hanging Temple (Xuankong si)

    After breakfast, you guide and driver take you to Hanging Temple (1.5 hours). This 1,400-year-old gravity-defying structure pays homage to Taoism, Buddhism and Confucianism—all in one place. Built precariously into the side of a cliff around 75 m (246 ft) above the ground, this distinctive monastery houses sculptures of the Buddha, Confucius and Laozi, which appear side-by-side. After lunch, your guide will send you to Taiyuan train station and assist you get the tickets and send you to the security check. You will take the train to Xi’an. After you arrival in Xi’an. The driver and guide will pick you up with holding a sign board with your name on and send you to your hotel.
