Our guide will give information about the construction of it and the details it keeps, as well as the function it performed at the corresponding time.

  Iglesia de La Merced

  The city is surrounded by various buildings that were erected at different times, for this reason, taking a walk from the heart of the city to this point means traveling in time, knowing the different eras and reaching one in which art, symbology; religious syncretism and culture came together in a single monument, giving it an incomparable appearance.

  The Plaza Central Park

  Since the Plaza Mayor is considered the heart of the city. our guide will give a brief introduction about the history and founding process of the city; Likewise, it will make a brief review of the monuments that surround it. In this same place, a few meters away is the National Museum of Art of Guatemala (MUNAG) which houses a collection of works of painting and sculpture that are part of Guatemalan culture. This visit is optional and the entrance to other monuments is the responsibility of each traveler.

  One of the many squares that adorns the city of La Antigua Guatemala, today it is still a very important meeting point for visitors and locals. As part of the history that formed the square, there are several buildings that at the time were the residence of religious and one of them a medical assistance center. Upon reaching the square, the imposing public laundry takes its place and takes you back to the time when it was very important for the inhabitants of the city.
