In the territory of Cargeghe, in northwest Sardinia, you can participate in a special hiking accompanied by tame donkeys, particularly suitable for families with children or those looking for relaxation.
Our local guide will lead you on a walk suitable for everyone under the banner of sustainable tourism, in which you will discover the main sites in the area, including waterfalls and domus de janas, noteworthy sites of archaeological and natural interest, completely immersed in the wilderness. Multiple stops will be made in order to delve into the history of the place, including stories and anecdotes, and at the end of the experience a tasty typical Sardinian aperitif with local products will be served.
A particularly impressive animal tour between relaxation, discovery and fun, not to be missed!

Meeting and pickup
The entrance is on a white dirt road from the SP3 main road. You can recognize the guides at the meeting place because they usually wear a green jersey.
What to expect
Along the path there are at least 5 stops of 10 minutes each, in the main sites of the area which are the Romanesque church of Santa Maria e Contra, the Anella waterfalls area called Siscia, Ancient water mills , 19th-century lime kiln and the Necropolis of Su Elighe Entosu with the visit of 3 domus de janas.
At the waterfalls, if you want you can also take a bath in the natural pools! In that case, you will need to have shoes suitable for getting wet to enter the natural pools with pebbly bottom!

- Children and teens aged 3 years to 17 years will be able to do part of the hiking on the back of a donkey where the trail allows safe walking.
- The experience is confirmed with at least two participants.
- Pets are allowed with a muzzle and leash as long as they are of docile disposition.
- During the summer months, visitors can stop off for a swim at a number of natural pools | During the summer months, if you wish to swim in the natural pools along the way, it is recommended to bring rock shoes, a towel and a change of clothes
