Have you ever wondered how a 300-metre boat rises and falls water levels to cross between two oceans? This private Pacific tour of the Panama Canal takes you beyond observing : you’ll understand how it works in real time as you witness vessels transit through Miraflores Locks.
Explore the old Canal Zone and learn how it was lived, the restrictions that existed and the path to the Torrijos-Carter Treaties, key in the transfer of the canal to Panama. Enjoy spectacular views from the Amador Causeway and visit the Canal Administration Building, the Bridge of the Americas, the Centennial Bridge and the Corte Culebra.
Ideal for solo travelers, couples, families or groups — even better with 4+ people, preferential rates.

We head to the Miraflores Visitor Center where we will have the opportunity to see the 45-minute documentary about the Panama Canal, narrated by Morgan Freeman at the Imax theater, we will know the history and operation of this important and imposing construction and see the transit of Panamax ships that pass through the locks of Miraflores. This time includes transfer to the Miraflores Locks.
From the Miraflores Locks we arrive at the Pedro Miguel Locks, this is the smallest lock built and very important as it levels the ships at the level of the snake cut which is the most dangerous and complicated part of the transit of the ships. Time includes transfer to the locks of Pedro Miguel.
We pass the Centennial Bridge where you will see the start of the famous Corte Culebra and the entrances to the Locks of Pedro Miguel, Miraflores and Cocolí.
We continue to know more about the Panama Canal and arrive at the Panama Canal Administration Building, where we will walk along the Paseo del Prado (which has an interesting history) and the Monument to George Goethals. Time includes transfer from the locks of Pedro Miguel.
ATTENTION: for remodeling work we are not stopping at the viewpoint, we are making a panoramic crossing by the Bridge of the Americas.
We continue our adventure and finish at the Amador Causeway where we will know the importance of this area when the Panama Canal was inaugurated and enjoy the breathtaking views of Panama City and Panama Bay. Time includes transfer from the Mirador de las Américas.
