The trip from Tirana will take you to Ohrid Lake, the two picturesque cities of North Macedonia with a wealth of cultural and scenic treasures. Our starting point will be the Church of Saints Clement and Panteleimon. It is a short distance to the Church of Saint Sophia, an important monument for North Macedonia that houses architecture and art from the Middle Ages. Near the Upper Gate of Samuels Fortress, we will find the Ancient Theatre of Ohrid. We will reach Samuel's Fortress, which is a popular tourist spot with stunning views of Lake Ohrid and the old town. Our return to our starting point will be at the Ohrid Boardwalk, linking both towns to Potpesh beach and offers coffee and opportunities at various good restaurants and souvenir shops. As we head back to Albania, the last stop will consist of Struga City on Lake Hurda.

    Among the many cultural and natural destinations, Ohrid is a city of great attractions. The first destination on our journey will be the Church of Saints Clement and Panteleimon, which was attributed to Saint Clematius from the Byzantine period and is situated on a hill overlooking Lake Ohrid.

    A new fortress was erected on the site of an earlier 4th century BC fortification, likely commissioned by King Philip II of Macedonia, which served as the capital of the First Bulgarian Empire during Tsar Samuel's reign in 2000 at the start of The 11TH century. It is now a major tourist destination and offers scenic views of Lake Ohrid and its historic city.

    Ancient Theatre of Ohrid

    Founded in 200 BC, it was utilized as a spectacle venue and gladiatorial combat ground. Later, the Romans carried out executions for Christians. Following the collapse of the Roman Empire, locals abandoned and buried the theatre due to their dislike for it.

    The Ohrid Boardwalk will connect the old town to Potpesh beach, and we will then return to our starting point.
