Wat Mahathat Temple is one of the oldest and most important temples in the history of Ayutthaya built in the late 14C. Vihara Phra Mongkhon Bophit is located to the south of Wat Phra Sri Sanphet Temple. A bronze Buddha image, Phra Mongkhon Bophit, inside the hall could be dated to the 15th century. The Buddha image is 12.45 meters in height and 9.55 meters in width at the lap span.
