Tour starts at agreed time from the meeting point or hotel. From Baku to Goygol city is 4 hours and 30 driving distance. Our 1st stop is Helenendorf settlement. The center of the district formerly was called Helenendorf which was founded by German colonists in 1819, at the place of an ancient village Hanlyglar that later formed a base of Hanlar city. Now Goygol district illustrates the friendship between Azerbaijan and German nations. A lot of work was done here to preserve the German heritage. Guests will visit the remnants of Helenendorf, the first German settlement in Azerbaijan. Guests will spent here approximately 30 minutes.
The next destination is The Saint John's Church which was a former Lutheran church in Goygol. Driving distance from Helenendorf to this point is only 5 minutes. Completed in 1857, it was the first German Lutheran church built in Azerbaijan and was first Lutheran church in the area what is now Azerbaijan. Church operates as a historical museum of Helenendorf former citizens. Guests will spent here approximately 20 minutes.
Our last visited place of the 1st day is Goygol Lake which is the most beautiful lake in Azerbaijan which is one the top list of must see sightseeing in Azerbaijan. Driving distance from Church to this point is at least 70 minutes. The lake is 0.78 km2 and is 1600 metres above sea level. Its length from south to north is 2800 metres, and its maximum width is 800 metres. The banks of the lake are covered with forests and rich flora and fauna. Translated from the Azerbaijani language, the name means 'Blue Lake' and reflects the purity of the water often called "Mirror Beauty of Azerbaijan". Guests will spent here approximately 60-90 minutes. Tour ends up here and leave for the Ganja City. Driving distance is 70 minutes from Last destination to Ganja City Centre where the hotels are situated. We drop the guests to the hotel. After check out the hotel, tour starts at agreed time from the hotel. Our First stop is Shah Abbas Mosque. The Mosque or Ganja Juma Mosque is a historic mosque built in the 17th century in the Arran architectural style, located on the left bank of the Ganja River in the historical center of Ganja. It is one of the main attractions of the city is the 17th century with two tall minarets and a dome with interesting decoration. The Ganja Juma Mosque continues the portal-dome traditions of medieval Azerbaijani architecture in terms of its general architectural composition, planning, constructive and artistic-decorative features. The mosque complex, which formed the core of the city center, included a monumental mosque building, an entrance portal standing independently to the north and surrounded by twin minarets on both sides. The red-brick building is illuminated through beautiful panels of stained glass (Shebeke). Guests will spend here 15-20 minutes.
2nd stop is Chokak Hamam (17th century). Driving distance from Shah Abbas Mosque to this point is only 5 minutes. Chokak Hamam is a historical bath near Juma Mosque in Ganja. Historical-architectural monument built in 1606, by order of Shah Abbas. The Chokak hamam is known by various names among the city's population. Since it was built by the order of Shah Abbas I, it is sometimes called the "Shah Abbas hamam. In the construction of the bathhouse, traditional materials of the time were used, such as red bricks, egg whites, clay, and a lime-based binding mixture. Hamam is still in operation today. Guests will spent here 20 minutes.
Tour continues to Bottle House which is a local icon of Ganja, Azerbaijan. Driving distance from Chokak Hamam to this point is 5 minutes. This creative entire house was constructed of colorful glass of bottles. Unusual private House is made from more than 50,000 glass bottles, each one carefully placed to form intricate patterns that give the building its unique appearance. Guests will spent here approximately 20 minutes.
Next destination is The Medieval Caravanserai. Driving distance from Bootle House to this point is 3 minutes and walking distance is 8 minutes. Shah Abbas Caravanserai is a must-see place in Ganja city, which was a significant centre for trade and craftsmanship in the Near and Middle East. The construction of the building began in 1606 by order of the Safavid ruler Shah Abbas I and was commissioned in 1613-1614. This stunning building was built in an oriental style, the two-story caravanserai features 15 halls and 54 cells, with designated areas for pack animals in the yard. The construction of the Shah Abbas Caravanserai utilised burnt bricks and a mixture of egg white, lime and clay. Guests will spent here approximately 15 minutes.
The next destination of the day is Khan Baghi Park. Driving distance from the Medieval Caravanserai to this place is 5 minutes. This is one of the most notable historical landmarks in Ganja, Azerbaijan. Garden offers both locals and tourists a peaceful retreat with its unique blend of nature and history. Originally established in the 18th century, Khan Bagi has been a key part of the city’s heritage, reflecting Ganja’s rich cultural and architectural traditions. Guests will explore the garden’s features, which include stone walls, fountains, and pathways, many of which have been preserved over the centuries. Guests will spent here approximately 20 minutes.
Our 6th destination is The Mausoleum of Imamzadeh. Driving distance from Khan Baghi to this monument is 20 minutes. Imam-zade Mausoleum is a Muslim relic and one of the main landmarks of the city survived from time immemorial is the mausoleum of Sheikh Ibragim. This sacred structure holds significant religious importance for Muslims, as it is believed to be the final resting place of an important figure from the Prophet Muhammad’s family. The mausoleum’s rich history and architectural beauty make it a must-visit destination for those exploring the cultural heritage of Azerbaijan. Guests will spent here approximately 15 minutes.
The last destination is Mausoleum of Nizami Ganjavi. Driving distance from Imamzadeh to this monument is 15 minutes. Nizami Mausoleum — Located near the city of Ganja, where Nizami Ganjavi was born. The city proudly honors him with this massive burial vault and memorial complex. The structure is a 20 m high cylindrical marble building and a park surrounding it. Near the mausoleum is a bronze monument praising the works created by the immortal poet. Nizami’s name was carved in gold just above the entrance. Guests spend here approximately 20 minutes. Tour ends up here and leave to Baku. Driving distance is 4 hours from the last destination to dropping point. We drop the guests to the meeting point of hotel. General tour duration is 7 hours but can take 8-9 hours in order to give you an unforgettable experience along the way with food and tea breaks upon request.
