Himalayan Tea Flight and Tasting Experience

Travelers will take part in a guided Himalayan tea tasting designed to introduce them to the world of specialty tea. When you arrive, your host will welcome you and briefly share the story of tea in Nepal and why Himalayan teas are considered unique.

You will then be served a curated tea flight of four premium teas, each grown in high altitude regions of Nepal. Like a wine tasting, your host will guide you through how to evaluate each tea using your senses observing the leaves, smelling the aroma, tasting the tea, and identifying flavor notes.

As each tea is served, you’ll learn how altitude, climate, and traditional tea-making techniques influence flavor. Your host will also demonstrate the proper way to brew loose leaf tea and share simple tips you can use at home.

Throughout the tasting, you’ll hear stories about the farmers and communities in the Himalayas who grow these teas and how the journey from farm to cup happens.

By the end of the experience, travelers will have tasted several rare Himalayan teas and gained a deeper understanding of tea. Guests are welcome to ask questions and explore additional teas available in the café after the tasting.
