Start your self-guided walk at the iconic Luís I Bridge. Follow a circular route passing 13 of the Douro Valley’s most renowned wine lodges. Our curated booklet will guide you on an engaging journey that takes about 2 hours and half and covers approximately 6.5 km (4 miles). Use the simple map to guide you along the way. Near the end of the tour, we will also take you to one of the best viewpoints—a hidden gem.

As you walk, uncover the most iconic Port wine houses. Many of these lodges are considered the “mother houses” of Port wine and are deeply connected to the identity of the region.
