Day 1
Depart from Cape Town and travel to Knysna with stops in Swellendam and Mossel Bay

Swellendam is a 2 hour drive from Cape Town. We depart from Cape town at 8am and travel on the N2. The route is scenic as we pass Paarl and Worcester until we arrive in Swellendam. Swellendam connects the Overberg with the Garden Route and is an attractive town with the Koornlands River running through it. Beautifully historic sitting at the base of the Langeberg mountains near to the R62 Wine Route.

From Swellendam we proceed with our route mainly inland until we reach the beautiful seaside town on Wilderness.The Wilderness has beautiful beaches, the mountains, the sea, everything is there.

We eventually reach Knysna. This is the centre of the Garden Route where we base ourselves for the next 3 days as we explore the Garden Route. We check into the Premier Resort The Moorings Knysna, or similar. A great base from which to explore the Garden Route is Premier Resort The Moorings in Knysna set in the idyllic surroundings on the banks of the Knysna lagoon, amidst enchanting woodland gardens and , offering private access to the lagoon for hotel guests as well as boat launch and docking facilities at the hotel. The area is serene in its secluded Knysna Heads setting, with spectacular views of indigenous forest and less than 3km from the town’s centre. Very comfortable accommodation.

Day 2
We depart from Knysna after breakfast and head off to Addo Elephant National Park

Botlierskop Tented Lodge
We depart from hotel after breakfast and head to Botlierskop Game Reserve for a game drive. A game safari at Botlierskop Game Reserve offers an exhilarating adventure through the diverse landscapes of the Western Cape. Nestled between the Outeniqua Mountains and the Indian Ocean, this reserve is home to a rich variety of wildlife, including the Big Five. As you traverse the rugged terrain in an open 4x4 vehicle, you'll have the opportunity to spot lions, elephants, rhinos, and more in their natural habitats. Day 3

Knysna Heads
From The Robberg Nature Reserve, head back to Knysna and visit the Knysna Heads. The Heads are a stunning sight to enjoy from a number of restaurants, and provide the perfect backdrop for those indulging in water sports nearby. The East Head is the more accessible one, and visitors need only head to Leisure Isle and then follow the sign posts to be part of the drama and scale of this headland.

Day 4
Depart from Knysna after breakfast. First stop is in Hermanus.

Benguela Cove Lagoon Wine Estate
At Benguela Wine Estate we do a world class wine tasting of 5 different wines. Benguela Cove Lagoon Wine Estate is a low yield farm, focused on producing premium estate wines. There is so much to see and do when you visit Benguela Cove.

Betty's Bay
From Benguela Cove Wine Estate we proceed along the Whale Coast to Betty's Bay where we see the African Penguins at this Penguin Colony. From Betty's Bay our tour takes us back to Cape Town arriving at around 6pm in the afternoon.
