    Dar es Salaam to Selous Game Reserve

    Pick up from Airport or Hotel in Dar es Salaam, and drive south of Dar es Salaam to Selous Game Reserve; the drive shall take 5 hours. Relax and immerse in your new surroundings at Rufiji River Camp before enjoying a delicious, fresh lunch in a beautiful shady spot your camp offers. There is time to relax for a couple of hours after lunch before departing on an afternoon boat safari. The boat safari is superb in the afternoon, watching wildlife come to the water’s edge to drink and getting close to bird colonies, hippos, crocodiles and the spectacular sundown.

    After early breakfast, depart for a full-day game drive with picnic lunch in the Selous Game Reserve, exploring the game in the surrounding areas.     Deliciously morning breakfast, to be enjoyed in camp departure for a full day of game drives around Mikumi National Park with picnic lunch. The open horizons and plentiful wildlife of the Mkata Floodplain, the popular centrepiece of Mikumi, usually draw frequent comparisons to the famous Serengeti Plains. Before the end of the day, you will return to the camp and spend the time relaxing in the swimming pool, evening dinner and overnight at Vuma Hills Camp.

    Mikumi National Park to Ruaha National Park

    Morning breakfast then departs to Ruaha National Park from Mikumi, the road ascent along the Great Ruaha River up on the high plateau where Iringa is situated. Stop in Iringa for lunch, then proceed to Ruaha, arrive late afternoon, dinner and overnight at Ruaha River Lodge.

The park is one of the few of Tanzania's famous wilderness areas, whereby the experience of game viewing is spiced up by the exciting landscape and its Great Ruaha River. The river becomes mostly the primary water source for wildlife during the dry season. As a result, Ruaha is an ideal place for spotting wilderness and scenic beauty. Before the end of the day, you will return to Ruaha River Lodge for dinner and overnight.
