Looking for family-friendly things to do in London? Discover Black Tudors on this Thames riverside walk. Touch silks, smell spices and explore historic records on this unique Tudor London experience.
This riverside walking tour will take you through Southwark, across London Bridge and the north bank of the River Thames, where you will learn about Tudor history and architecture and how alliances, wars and conquests shaped the lives of four Black Tudors.
The walking tour is suitable for adults, teenagers and parents/guardians with children aged 7+, but all ages are welcome!
We will also provide children with activity packs and pens/pencils to complete. There are prizes for the Tudor sleuths too.

We meet outside Winchester Palace. Your guide will be holding a Mysterious Black Tudors Walking Tour placard.
The tours end on the north bank of the River Thames, near Tower Bridge.
Our guide will show you the remains of Winchester Palace and explain its relevance to Tudor history.
Our guide will explain the history of the Golden Hinde and talk about a black Tudor. We will not enter the attraction.
Our guide will explain the history of Southwark Cathedral and talk about a black Tudor.
Our guide will take you over London Bridge and describe the bridge during Tudor times.
Our guide will take you along the North Bank of the River Thames and talk about the history of the Thames during Tudor times and the lives of two black Tudors. We also take a group photo.
