As part of the walk, we’ll pass through Soukenné Square, once the heart of Liberec’s textile trade. Since 1897, it has also been part of the city’s historic tram line, adding a charming rattle to the city’s rhythm. Locals still chuckle at the ‘Liberec metro’—a quirky nickname for the now-closed underground public toilets hidden beneath the square.

We’ll stroll down to Široká Street, where we’ll stop at the cozy bistro. There, we’ll savor another glass of fine Czech wine paired with delicious bites. This is the one of the most original culinary spots in Liberec. Founded by architect and chef Tomáš Foltýn, it reflects a spirit of modern global gastronomy with a focus on quality, sustainability, and personal style. The interior blends retro elements with Scandinavian and New York influences, and alongside delicious food, you’ll find a gramophone, a typewriter, and even fashion bazaars. Široká Street, where the bistro is located, is part of Liberec’s historic center. It stretches from Soukenné Square toward the Town Hall and is known for its mix of old and modern architecture. One of the city’s earliest tram lines (since 1897) used to run through here, and to this day, the street retains its vibrant urban charm.

From Široká Street, we’ll slip into the quirky Kanálová Alley—a hidden gem paved with over 100 unique manhole covers from cities across Europe. This playful urban gallery, curated by local enthusiasts, has even earned a spot in the Czech Book of Records. From there, we’ll emerge onto Moskevská Street—one of Liberec’s oldest thoroughfares, once part of a medieval trade route connecting Bohemia to Lusatia. Its mix of historic facades and lively atmosphere makes it a perfect lead-in to our next stop. We’ll visit a stylish wine bar nestled here. Known for its cozy vibe, curated selection of Moravian and regional wines, and warm hospitality, it’s the perfect place to raise one last glass and toast to a night well spent.

As part of our tour, we’ll also take a moment to admire the magnificent Liberec Town Hall—an architectural jewel from the late 19th century. Standing tall on Dr. Edvard Beneš Square, its Neo-Renaissance beauty and 61-meter tower. We’ll take a brief detour to admire the Valdštejn Houses—three charming timber-framed homes tucked into narrow Větrná Alley. They are the oldest surviving townhouses in Liberec and a rare example of traditional craftsman housing. Originally home to cloth makers, one even served as a tavern. Our next stop takes us to a modern wine bar with its minimalist design, carefully curated selection of Czech wines, and cozy atmosphere, it’s the perfect place.. Whether you’re craving a bold red, a crisp white, or something natural and unexpected, this wine bar has just the wine to surprise your palate.
