Meeting time: 3:30 pm. Meeting location: Go to Bayangol Hotel -A corpus reception area. Meet with a guide holding "Viator group" sign.
After you check in, take some time to freshen up and relax before our welcome meeting. Our tour guide will meet you at 3:30 p.m. and have a group welcome meeting. We will review the program schedule, discuss roles and responsibilities, logistics, safety guidelines, and emergency procedures, and answer questions. After the meeting, we'll visit Chinggis Khaan National Museum. The Museum has total of 6 permanent exhibition halls and 2 temporary exhibition halls, such as the First Kingdoms of Mongolia, the Mongolian Empire and its component states, Mongolian kings and nobles of the 13th-20th centuries, and the Great Khan's House of Honor.
The main square of the capital city was established in 1921. This square is an important place where Mongolians experienced all the happiness and suffering. It is the only place where the people of UB gather at any time, whether it is young people who have graduated from school, couples who are getting married, or when there is a hunger strike or protest.
After breakfast at the hotel, we'll drive south to the Baga Gazar granite canyon. We will arrive at our base camp at noon. Explore the granite canyon. Visit the ruin of a monastery, which was created by a renowned Mongolian philosopher, a rock contains several inscriptions dating back to the Bronze Age. In the evening, clear your mind while stargazing and enjoying a cocktail made with local ingredients.
On the way to our glamping camp, we'll stop by a small Buddhist temple built by an old monk in early 1900s.
Today we explore the semi-desert by visiting the Ar Burd dune, camel riding, and slide down from the top of the dunes. Hike in the Zorgol mountain. Return to our base camp.
Drive to White Canyon or Tsagaan Suvarga, a 30-60 meters high, 400-meter-long, colorful limestone formation, that once was the ocean bed where the visitors find marine fossils and clamshells. Tsagaan Suvarga was named after its shape resembles the Buddhist relict stupas or pagodas. Perfect opportunity for a photography session. Hike around the canyon and explore the area. Return to our base camp. Bonfire party in the evening.
After early breakfast, drive through the open steppe to the capital city Ulaanbaatar. Arrive in UB in the afternoon and check in to the hotel. We will have downtime to freshen up until the farewell dinner.
