Fun-filled bike adventure awaits for travellers of all ages.
We meet at the front of watch tower which is very close to pier. You can recognize from my red bicycle.
Once we crosses to prince island (Büyükada), we head to the bike shop to pick up our bicycles to start off amazing tour.
The charming streets of Büyükada offer a peaceful escape, perfect for exploring on two wheels. With no motor vehicles allowed, the island’s cobblestone roads wind past historic wooden mansions draped in blooming bougainvillea. As you pedal through quiet lanes, the only sounds are birdsong and the soft hum of your bicycle. Every turn reveals a new view glimpses of the sea, hidden gardens, and echoes of the past in the island breeze.
Perched atop Büyükada’s highest point, Aya Yorgi Church is a peaceful retreat with breathtaking views of the Marmara Sea. The climb is steep, but the reward is worth every step—or pedal. This small yet spiritual Greek Orthodox chapel, surrounded by pine trees and silence, has welcomed pilgrims and visitors for over a century. At the summit, a gentle breeze and panoramic views create a moment of calm you won’t forget.
Hidden among the trees on a quiet hill of Büyükada stands the Prinkipo Greek Orphanage—one of the largest wooden buildings in Europe. Though time has weathered its walls, its presence is powerful and mysterious. Once home to hundreds of children, today it sits abandoned, surrounded by nature and whispers of the past. Cycling past its towering frame, you can almost hear the echoes of a forgotten era carried in the wind.
Beyond the lively town center lies the island’s peaceful backside—where pine forests meet the sea and time slows down. Here, the roads are quieter, the air fresher, and the views wider. As you ride your bike along these secluded paths, you'll pass rocky cliffs, hidden coves, and untouched nature. It’s the perfect place to breathe deep, take a break, and feel the island’s soul away from the crowds. We can have short brake there.
We leave the bike in the forest and go to a natural beach to cool off. The road down to the beach is a natural road but requires some caution. We enjoy the sea here for half an hour.
After swimming, we cycle to a spot with a perfect sunset, where we enjoy a home-cooked meal and some local wine by me.
