Tigre is an Argentine city north of the city of Buenos Aires. It is a gateway to the rivers and wetlands of the vast Paraná Delta. The city's former fruit port, Puerto de Frutos, is now a busy artisan market. Nearby, the Mate Museum traces the history of Argentina's traditional tea-like drink and has a mate bar. Rowing clubs and restaurants line the Paseo Victorica, a riverside esplanade. During our stop in the city we include an audio-guided navigation, where we will learn how the residents of the islands live and interact, the floating services, such as the water taxi and the supermarket boat, the museum house of the former president Sarmiento, among other attractions of the region. We also include lunch and a visit to the Puerto de Frutos.
